F4) — it’s packed with tips and answers. - Use search in Discord — your question might’ve already been asked and answered.
Crystal Shards are obtained through crafting rituals.
Ritual recipes might not appear in JEI while playing on a multiplayer server.
To fix this:
- First open a singleplayer world.
- Then join the multiplayer server.
This workaround loads the missing recipes.
This issue is caused by the Alshanex's Familiars mod.

The ritual system is explained in the quest book, under the Alshanex's Familiars chapter.
Hidden deep within the vast oceans lies the mysterious Origin Island, a forgotten land that holds the ancient secrets behind the existence of familiars.
Its only residents are tiny lost souls — early, incomplete forms of familiars that never reached their final evolution.
These delicate beings can be captured using Empty Bottles and are essential for performing powerful rituals on the island.
Rituals are carried out at the heart of Origin Island, using the pedestals found there.
They require specific crafting recipes, and

To find the island, you’ll first need a Sniffer. Occasionally, Sniffers will dig up rare Crystal Berries.
Feeding these to your tamed familiars unlocks memories of their origins, which solidify into Memory Fragments.
These fragments act like Eyes of Ender, guiding you toward the hidden Origin Island.
This is a known issue, but the recipes still work — just input the correct materials manually.
Unfortunately, this is something that only the mod author can fix, and there’s nothing we can do about it.

To generate FE, you need to craft an Alternator from the Craft & Additions mod.
Once placed, it will convert rotational power from Create into Forge Energy.

Some spells are exclusive to the Market and cannot be crafted or found in loot.

Yes! You’ll need an Enchanting Template.
Simply place your enchanted item and an Enchanting Template into the Blaze Forge.
It will remove one random enchantment from the item and transfer it to the template.
Each template can hold only one enchantment, so you may need to repeat the process multiple times until you extract the one you want.
If your enchantment level is too high, you might need to use Super Enchanting to reapply it later.

You’ll need a Pickaxe with Silk Touch to mine and collect spawners.
You'll remain in Haven Tier until you defeat the Ender Dragon.
“But how do I get Apotheosis gear if there are no Invasions?”
Good question! You’ll earn Apotheosis gear by defeating bosses — many of them drop Dust and Gems, which are required to progress.
