Create Chronicles: Bosses and Beyond is a 1.20.1 Forge progression-based modpack focused on exploration and automation.

Inspired by Create: Astral and Above & Beyond, it blends Create-based automation with RPG elements, magic, and epic bosses. Expect custom recipes, hand-crafted progression, a world full of challenge, and tons of quests to complete.

The pack is no longer receiving updates.

Rush Chapter III to unlock Tom's Simple Storage.

You’ll need to do some manual work at first. Belts are unlocked in Chapter II and are relatively quick to reach.

• Finish Chapter I to earn reward boxes, which can contain belts.
• Or purchase belts from the Black Market if you're really desperate.

Meteorites are disabled.

• AE2 is unlocked in Chapters 9 and 10
• Intended as a late-game storage solution

Trains need fuel to operate.
Check the Create 101 chapter for a list of allowed fuel types.

Two ways to get rid of excess creosote:

1. Mechanical Pump + Flarestack → burns the creosote
2. Low Grade Fuel Engine → uses creosote to generate rotational power

You can increase health through several sources:

• +10 hearts from accessories
• +10 hearts from spirit orbs
• +5 hearts from the food book
• +5 hearts from Aether life shards
• More hearts from the talent skill tree

There are 10 exclusive weapons, mostly obtainable via:

• Black Market (some are sold)
• Boss drops (specific bosses, rare chance)
• Dormant Relic: awarded by collecting all Artifacts or all Rings of Ascension

Note: Drop chances are low, but higher-tier bosses have better odds.

To activate a molten vent, place a TNT on top of the dormant vent and then ignite the TNT.
For the full BOOM effect, make sure to stand in front of it.
After the explosion, the vent becomes active, and you can place a cobbled version of it to turn it into the normal version.

Each vent accepts different blocks. For example, to make cobbled asurine, you need cream and honey touching each other to generate cobbled asurine, which you can then use on your asurine vent.

You can't.

Vents are meant to encourage transportation and distributed factory builds.
Even though some players found legit ways to bypass protections, those won’t be shared here.

Use a chute above the deployer and drop the wrench into it.
Check the quest book for step-by-step help.

The Black Market unlocks in the "Getting Started" chapter (right after the diamond quest).
You trade materials for specific items by completing quests — unlike other quest rewards, these require submission.

Both the burst glyph and glass sword have been removed from their normal places. Instead, you can find them inside of the gambler's crate in the black market.

Vein miner is an enchantment that is sold in the Black Market. Once you have the book, and have applied the enchant to a tool, it will automatically vein mine ores! You can also put it on axes for a tree feller, or a hoe for quick harvest!

Yes, but no official support is provided due to potential performance issues.
Distant Horizons is compatible as of version 1.4.0.

To reduce conflicts:

1. Go to Alex's Caves config
2. Disable the option: biome_ambient_light_coloring
